We are currently bidding as the prime contractor for an upcoming public works project in Palm Springs, and we are seeking local suppliers, subcontractors, and workforce members to help us fulfill the requirements of the Local Business Preference Program. The contract for this project is subject to the provisions of Palm Springs Ordinance No. 1756, and Section 7.09.030 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code, “Local Business Preference Program”, subsection (5) “Local Preference in Public Works Contracts (Sub-Contracting)”.

- Hiring a Local Workforce: In alignment with the City of Palm Springs’ goals, we will prioritize hiring workers from within the Coachella Valley. We encourage local workers to apply for roles on this project.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify as a Local Business for this project in Purchasing, a qualified Local Business must:
- The person or Business must request the preference in the Solicitation response and provide a copy of its current business license from a jurisdiction in the Coachella Valley.
To qualify as a Local Business for this project in Services, a qualified Local Business must:
- The person or Business must request the preference in the Solicitation response and provide a copy of its current business license from a jurisdiction in the Coachella Valley.
- If bidding as a subcontractor, hold a valid contractor’s license from the Contractor’s State License Board for the project’s scope of work.
- If bidding as a subcontractor, maintain a valid Department of Industrial Relations public works registration for the project duration.
- If bidding as a subcontractor, be aware of and comply with the Prevailing Wage to which the project is subject.
- We may require a performance and payment bond of 100% of the subcontract value.
